Transport Checklist
RV, Trailer, Boat & Misc Preparation Checklist
To help make your transporting experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible, please review the following preparation checklist.
-
Check your trailer hitch and safety chains to ensure they are in proper working order.
-
Verify your trailer’s tire pressure prior to transport.
-
Confirm that all trailer lights are functioning correctly.
-
If your trailer has a braking system, verify it is in good working condition.
-
Do not leave valuables inside your unit that are not necessary for transport.
-
Ensure all doors, windows, vents, awnings, and drawers are securely closed.
-
Remove or secure any loose exterior items that could be affected by wind during transport.
-
Inspect your trailer and load, inside and out, for anything loose or out of the ordinary.
-
Drain and remove all water and fuel from any tanks.
-
Perform a final inspection inside and out to confirm everything is secure. Drivers are not responsible for damage caused by items shifting inside your trailer or RV during transport.
-
It is strongly recommended that boats be shrink wrapped to protect against damage caused by flying debris.
-
Removable boat windshields should be removed and stored securely inside the boat.
-
Customers must arrange to have their boat placed in the water at the destination, as drivers are not permitted to perform this service.
-
All cargo must be properly packed and wrapped to prevent damage during transport.
-
All items inside your trailer must be properly secured, as contents may shift during transport.
-
Partial loads that are inside utility or cargo trailers must be secured in place using ratchet straps and/or cargo bars.
-
Customers must arrange assistance for unloading utility and cargo trailers. Drivers are responsible for delivery only and are not allowed to assist with unloading for liability reasons.
